The Sleep and Neurodegeneration Animal Laboratory (SNAL) at the University of Zurich is seeking a Research Assistant to join its team in a part-time (25%), 3-year position funded by the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's (ASAP) initiative in partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of research and would like to contribute to cutting-edge neuroscience within a collaborative, international environment.
The candidate will support the laboratory through:
- Managing transgenic mouse colonies
- Overseeing laboratory pharmacy and inventory
- Supporting day-to-day laboratory operations
- Maintaining equipment and laboratory organization
- Providing technical support to researchers and students
The team is looking for someone who is:
- Organized, proactive, and reliable
- Comfortable working independently
- Interested in laboratory management and animal research
- Fluent in English
- Available for a long-term, part-time/job-sharing commitment (25%)
